Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of learn4less.ca and the tutoring, workshop, and related services provided by Learn4Less Tutoring Services Ltd. ("Learn4Less", "we", "us"). By using the site, booking a session, registering for a workshop, or buying access to a recording, you agree to them.

If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you have questions about anything here, email info@learn4less.ca before booking.

You may use the service if you are able to form a binding contract. If you are under the age of majority in your province or state, a parent or guardian must book on your behalf or agree to these terms for you. A parent or guardian who books for a student is responsible for payment.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity that happens under your account.

We provide mathematics tutoring, delivered one-on-one or in small groups, online or in person, along with online workshops and access to workshop recordings.

Tutoring is academic support. We help you understand material and work through problems. We do not guarantee any particular grade, exam result, admission outcome, or academic standing — those depend on your own work and on factors outside our control. We do not complete graded work on your behalf, and asking us to do so is outside what we offer.

Submitting a request through the site is a request, not a confirmed booking. A session is booked once we have confirmed the time with you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please tell us at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations and missed sessions may be charged, at our discretion, because the time was reserved for you.

We may need to reschedule a session ourselves. If we do, we will offer you an alternative time at no additional cost.

For your first session, we include a 30-minute fit check. If the session does not feel helpful within the first 30 minutes, we can stop there and you will not be charged. If you choose to continue past the first 30 minutes, the full session is billed at the regular rate.

This applies to your first session only.

Session rates are agreed with you before the session and depend on the level and format of the tutoring. Rates may change over time; a change will not apply to a session already booked and confirmed.

We invoice for completed sessions and may send you a payment link. Payment is due on the terms stated on the invoice. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details.

If you hold credit on your account, it is applied only to sessions where you ask us to use it. Credit has no cash value and is not transferable.

We may send reminders about unpaid sessions by email or SMS, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Live workshops are subject to availability, and we may reschedule or cancel one, in which case we will tell registrants and refund any fee paid for that workshop.

When you buy access to a workshop recording, you get personal, non-transferable access for four months from the date of purchase. Access is for you alone. Sharing your access, recording the video, downloading it, or redistributing it in any form is not permitted, and we may end access without refund if it happens.

The first-session fit check above is our standing guarantee on a first session. Beyond that, if something goes wrong with a session you have paid for, contact us and we will work it out with you in good faith — a refund, a credit, or a replacement session, depending on what happened.

Access to a recording that you have already watched is not generally refundable, since the material has been delivered.

When you give us your phone number, you agree that we may contact you by SMS about the request you made — confirmations, workshop reminders and links, scheduling messages, and reminders about unpaid sessions. Our number accepts replies, and our team answers them.

Message frequency varies with your own activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Opting out of SMS does not cancel your tutoring; we will contact you by email instead.

We do not send promotional mass texts, and we do not share your phone number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.

Please use the site and the service reasonably. In particular, do not:

• Attempt to gain access to accounts, systems, or data that are not yours.
• Copy, resell, or redistribute our materials, recordings, or worksheets.
• Use the service to have graded work completed on your behalf.
• Interfere with the operation of the site, or use it to send unlawful, harassing, or misleading content.

We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken.

The material on this site — our written guides and articles, worksheets, workshop recordings, branding, and the site itself — belongs to Learn4Less or is used with permission. You may use it for your own study. You may not republish or sell it.

Our articles are general educational writing. They are not a substitute for your own course materials or your instructor's guidance, and course requirements differ between institutions.

You keep ownership of anything you send us — your questions, the work you share in a session, and the messages you write. You give us permission to use it for the purpose of providing the service to you.

The service depends on third-party providers for hosting, payments, authentication, email, SMS, and video. Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms apply to their part of the service. Our Privacy Policy lists who they are.

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for academic outcomes.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms; the terms in force when you booked a session govern that session.

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live.
